Key Club in Brief

Key Club is a service leadership organization for high school students, operating under school regulations and drawing its membership from the student body. Key Club is unique because it is jointly sponsored by a local Kiwanis club-composed of the leadering business and professional people of the community - and a school (or in some cases, a community-based organization may act in place of the school)

Key Club's objective is the development of initiative, leadership ability, and good citizenship practices. Key Club exsists as a student-led organization on the club level, on a district level (state/provice), and an International level. This highly developed structure provides service and leadership development programs and the opportunity for teenagers to relate to their peers around the world.

Today, Key Club International exists in 24 nations around the world. It has its own Bylaws and is governed by its own board of 13 student leaders.

 Beyer High Key Club

Beyer Key Club is a community service program for high school students. We have been around since the opening of Beyer High School (1972), and will hopefully continue to do so. Our club is sponsored by our local Modesto Kiwanis Club which is an international club. Our goal is to teach leadership through service to others by working within our school and community. Here at Beyer, we donate our time by helping out at carnivals, particiapting in UNICEF, March of Dimes, Salvation Army, Adopt-A-Street, Adopt-A-Family, and so much more! We are here to make a difference in our school, community, and the world!
