                                   Open meeting w/ Key Club Pledge

I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International, to build my home, school, community, to serve my nation and God, and to combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

  1. Tutoring at Ustach Middle School: every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday from 2:55 to 4:00pm in their library (located in center of school)

    • 2701 Kodiak Drive
    • Meet in the USTACH library, you will be tutoring in the basic subjects, predominantly math.

    • You are not required to go every week or every day, choose a day that best fits YOUR schedule.

    • Make sure you record your hours to turn into Anna.

    • Standiford Place: every Saturday

    • 3-4 pm,  Play Wii with the elderly (only 5 members at a time)

    • 3420 Shawnee Drive
    • Please make sure you log in your hours if you attend!
  1. Monday, Oct. 12th: DCM (Division Council Meeting)

    • Pitman High School 5:30pm – 9:00pm

    • Max. 7 members (dress up for Halloween)
    • Meet in the front of Beyer by the flag pole at 5:30pm.
    • Transportation IS provided.
    • Like a Key Club meeting, but with other clubs in our division such as Turlock, Pitman, Golden Valley, Livingston, Buhach, Downey, Modesto, ect...
    • Food is provided also.
    • There will be a best costume contest.
  1. Thursday,  Oct. 15th: Beyer Club Day

    • Help out at the Key Club Table.
    • Maximum of three other members along with officers.
    • Either during 4th or 5th lunch.
    • Even if you are not helping, drop on by to show your support!
  2. Wednesday, Oct. 21st: Dancing w/ the Elderly

    • at
      Standiford Place
      from 3-4pm
    • Really fun...general dancing, nothing too fancy.
    • The elderly loves this event so please attend!
    • Only one hour long.
  3. Weekend of Halloween: Ladies Luncheon at Our Lady of Fatima Parish
    • You will either be setting up/serving food/cleaning up or you may participate in all of those activities.
    • You need to dress in the appropriate attire...white top and black bottoms.
    • More information will be given out at the next meeting.
    • Please set this day aside if you are interested in helping out.
  4. Saturday, Oct. 24th: FALL RALLY – GREAT AMERICA

You need 5 hrs by 10/23/09

o       There will be an auction that benefits the PTP, after that you are all welcome to go have fun on the rides with your friends! (10 hours of CS!)

  4. Sunday, Sept. 27th: Car Wash at US BANK

    • Raising Funds for Fall Rally & PTP

    • 2008 McHenry Ave.

    • from 9am-4pm.

    • Please donate old, unwanted towels & bring car wash utensils (ie: brushes, buckets, wipers, sponges, ect…)

    • Pre-made signs would be great too!

FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY TO GO TO GREAT AMERICA FOR FREE!

If you can pre-sale 10 car wash tickets at $5.00 each, we will pay for your Great America ticket which is $30.00. - Pick up tickets after general meeting.

  1. Saturday, Sept. 26th & Sunday, Sept. 27th: Fall Festival at Our Lady of Fatima Church

    • Help with food & game booths, setup/cleanup

    • Time: Varies

    • Pick up form after meeting. (Forms DUE on Thursday, Sept. 24th to Anna in Mr. Bradley's room D-29)
    • You choose what time periods you would like to attend.

  1. Welcome to Beyer Key Club

    • Short intro to BKC
    • Talked  about how beyerkeyclub.com have all info you need.
    • Distributed all permission forms as well as Great America forms.
      • There were not enough forms for everyone, so if you did not receive a form please print it off of this page or go to Mr. Bradley's room (D-29, next to D-36 to pick forms up)
  2. Monday, Sept. 14th: DCM (Division Council Meeting)
    • Merced High School 5-9pm
    • Limited Amount – 7 ppl
    • Division Council Meetings are meetings held by our Division which is Division 46, Divisions consist of many Key Clubs, such as Downey, Johanson, Modesto High, Pitman, Merced, Livingston, Golden Valley, Buhach, and so on...

    • From around 8am-2pm

    • Transportation IS provided, limited amount of space.
    • Two Divisions meet up and have a workshop of sorts about Key Club and officer duties.
      • If you are interested in becoming an officer next year, please attend, it will benefit you greatly.

  9. FALL RALLY – GREAT AMERICA
  • October 24th – from 7:30am – 9:00pm
  • Cost $30.00, due along with permission form on September 28th – no exceptions!

  • Event held for the Pediatric Trauma Patients
    • Children with illnesses, we are raising funds for their medical care and equipment.

  • Their is first an auction/rally and then you guys may go off and have fun.

    • You will receive 10 hours of community service if you stay for the rally/auctions.

  • A LOT of FUN! Ask parents’ permission to attend! BUT remeber you must have at least 5 hours to attend!

    • Karma Macias will receive free admission for selling the most Car Wash Tickets for the PTP. (sold 10 tickets = raised $50)
    • Decide on T-shirt design - Anna will get shirts ordered, ect...
  • Old Business
    • Acorn Picking at McHenry Mansion
      • Was overall enjoyable
    • Website - Be sure to check back often
  • New Events
    • DCM - Divison Council Meeting
      • Today, local at Modesto High School (it's usually out of town). Need to provide own transportation.
      • Dress up for Halloween!
      • Meeting to see what the other Key Clubs in our area have been doing.
      • Free food!
    • Volunteers for Kiwanis DCM

      • Setting up for their meeting
  • Committee Chair Elections and Sign Up
    • Elected members for each committee with respondsibilities. The members are then dispersed into each committee.
      • Can Food Drive - setting up boxes in classrooms, collect cans, ect...
        • Ashley Bratton = Chair
      • Trade-Off Day - set up day and time in which members and guests may bring unwanted items to trade with other members. Promoting Recycling, Reducing, and Reusing.
        • Emily Truong = Chair
      • Fundaraising - need to fundraise to raise club fund for our various activities and events.
        • Steven Chan = Chair
      • Publicity - advertise/promote club and recruit more members
        • Jeffrey Truong = Chair
      • Unicef - collects money from members, count money, and send off money to the organization.
        • Karma Macias = Chair
    • Committees will disperse with the ending of the event.
  • Set-up for Can Food Drive (folding/taping boxes, putting boxes in classrooms)
 

Monday, October 6

  • Open Meeting with Key Club Pledge
  • Discuss importance of signing in
    • You receive hours for signing in. It's the easiest way to earn hours.
  • Club T-Shirt Design
    • Design a club T-shirt for Great America and the club in general
          • Send design through email or bring in a printed copy of the design by next Monday.
  • Discuss the website and the information you can get from it.
  • Discuss how UNICEF is going.
  • Discuss the club structure. (Club to Division to Region to District to International)
  • Discuss/Sign-up for DCM (Division Council Meeting)
    • Key Clubs in our division come together to present their ideas and activities and discuss what they have been doing in the past month, afterwards we play games  and eat.
      • This DCM will be a Dress-up/Costume.
      • It will be local, at Modesto High, at 6:00pm.
  • Acorn Picking at McHenry Mansion TODAY!
    • Promptly after meeting
    • Approximately 1-2 hours
 

Monday, September 29

  • Open meeting with Key Club Pledge
  • Collection of any membership dues and Fall Rally forms & fees
  • Results of RTC
    • Ashley Bratton speaks of her experience.
      • Really fun, learned more about what Key Club is about, recommends for next year.
  • Results of the Car Wash
    • Karma Macias sold the most pre-sale tickets and will therefore receive free admission to Great America.
    • We washed 52 cars. Raised approximately $300.
  • Discuss/Sign-up for McHenry Mansion Field Acorn Picking for next week.
    • Picking up Acorns on the Mansion's plot of land, this prevents the land from going bad.
  • Discuss Unicef & passed out Unicef boxes.
    • Unicef = program that Key Clubbers around the world participate in to support the Swazi Children Care Project that funds neighborhood care points where orphaned and vulnerable children can receive a warm meal, shelter, medical care, education, and protection.
    • Fill those boxes with money, whether pennies, quarters, nickels, dimes, or dollars. Support UNICEF!
  • Learn the "How do you Feel?" cheer.

Monday, September 22

  • Short Meeting
  • Collection of membership dues
  • Last sign-ups for the RTC
    • At Clovis (CART HS) from 8:00am - 5pm. (meet at Beyer)
  •  Last sign-ups for our Car Wash
    • Location - US BANK 2008 McHenry Ave from 9am - 4pm
  • Discuss Fall Rally at Great America
    • Rally in Great America - we will auction off our LTG (Lieutenant Gov.), funds will go to Pediatric Trauma Patients. After rally, everyone may go and have fun!
      • Cost - $27.00 off of the $51.00! (The perks of being a Key Clubber!)
      • Forms and money are due October 3rd.
    • It will be on Saturday, October 25th, from 7:40am - 9:00pm.
  • Adopt - a - Street TODAY!
    • Cleaning the perimeter of the school. (Coffee, Sylvan, ect...)
    • Approximately 1 hour long.

Monday, September 15

  • Meetings will now be held in the SCRAMBLE after school
  • Collection of membership dues
  • Discuss/Sign-up for upcoming Regional Training Conference (RTC) at Clovis.
    • Conference in which members from various divisions (a region) come together to play games, attend workshops, eat, and have fun!
  • Discuss/Sign-up for upcoming Car Wash
    • Pass out pre-sale tickets
      • Location - US Bank on Sunday 28, 2008 from 9 - 4pm, funds go to our Fall Rally at Great America for the PTP (Pediatric Trauma Patients).
  • Discuss/Sign up for Adopt-a-Street
    • Choose a street for next week to clean up.
  • Ice-Breaker - Toilet Paper Game
    • Pass around rolls of toilet paper asking each member to get as much as they want, without telling members what it is for, then for every sheet of toilet paper they got, they must share a fact about themself.
